Cookie and Privacy Policy

This site is run by Dilúvio, Lda, Lisbon, Portugal (contacto@diluvioeditora.com).

What cookies are

Cookies are small files stored in your browser when you visit a website. They help the site work properly and, with your consent, help us understand how it is used.

Essential cookies

These cookies are needed for the site to work and do not require consent:

  • Cookie preference — stores your choice (accept or decline) for 6 months, so we don't ask again on every visit.
  • Language — remembers the language you chose (Portuguese or English) for future visits.
  • Admin session — used only by the editorial team when logging in to the site's restricted area. Visitors never receive this cookie.

None of these cookies are used for advertising or to identify you.

Analytics cookies (only with your consent)

We use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google Ireland Limited, to find out how many people visit the site, which pages they view and how they found us — for example, which books attract the most interest or which online bookshops are most popular. This data is aggregated and we do not use it to identify you personally.

Google Analytics sets cookies that distinguish visitors and visits, lasting up to 2 years.

These cookies are only set if you click "Accept". If you click "Decline", Google Analytics is not loaded. We do not use advertising cookies.

You can read how Google handles data at https://policies.google.com/privacy and opt out of Google Analytics on all websites at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Links to other sites

Our books can be bought from online bookshops (such as Almedina, Bertrand, FNAC or WOOK), and the site links to our Instagram and Facebook pages. When you follow these links you leave this site, and those services' own privacy and cookie policies apply. This site does not embed content from other websites.

Contacting us by email

If you write to contacto@diluvioeditora.com, we use your details only to reply to your message and do not share them with anyone else.

Changing or withdrawing consent

You can change your choice at any time using the "Cookies" link in the site footer. You can also delete cookies in your browser settings.

Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to access, correct or delete your data and to object to its processing. To exercise these rights, write to contacto@diluvioeditora.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Portuguese data protection authority, the Comissão Nacional de Protecção de Dados (www.cnpd.pt).
